About Me
I'm a product designer with 15+ years of experience, most of it spent in the messy middle of enterprise software — where the problems are structural, the stakeholders have competing priorities, and the right answer is rarely the obvious one.
My strongest work happens at the system level. At Vodafone, I rebuilt a global design system serving 20+ markets — not just the components, but the governance model, contribution framework, and cross-functional processes that made it sustainable. At Dayforce, I redesigned core workforce management features used by millions of hourly employees, working across hardware and web to rethink experiences that hadn't been meaningfully touched in over a decade. At Homebase, I dug into why an onboarding feature with a 28% completion rate was failing — and found the problem wasn't the UI, it was the architecture underneath it.
The thread across all of this work is the same: I diagnose before I design. I'd rather spend time understanding why something is broken than jump to what it should look like. That usually means research, stakeholder interviews, and a lot of listening before any pixels get pushed. It also means I spend as much time influencing roadmaps, negotiating scope, and aligning cross-functional teams as I do working in Figma.
I care about design systems not as a category of work but as a way of thinking — how do you build something that scales, stays consistent, and doesn't fall apart the moment the original designer leaves? That question shapes how I approach everything from component architecture to documentation to governance.
I started in graphic design at OCAD University, came back to teach typography and InDesign, and spent my early career working across print and digital before shifting fully into product design. That foundation still shows up in how I think about hierarchy, craft, and the details that make an interface feel considered rather than assembled.
Outside of work, I'm a father of two, a cyclist, and a home barista who's still chasing a decent latte art rosetta. Same curiosity, same iterative mindset, lower stakes.
